John, the butler, greets you as you enter the Dickert House. His gentle manner and charming smile help you
to feel welcome and at home.

The
Dickert House is proud and honored that John also serves his counrty as an Honor Guard at Military funerals
As you
are greeted you will be entering the front porch where tea is often served.

The front porch give a wonderful view of the river and gardens.

John provides tea service in many of the settings around
the home. Either in the formal living room, the casual garden room, or the private back garden next to the mermaid fountain.
Breakfast is served in the formal dining room. Betty's
gourmet breakfasts are provided in an elegant setting. The early morning view is over the rose garden as the sun filters thru
the window.
You can relax in elegant settings in the formal living area or the private area in your suite.
Another special
place to gather is in Betty's Kitchen. Sometimes guests visit with Betty in the early morning, evening, or the afternoon.
The kitchen entrance is a beautiful place to sit in the late afternoon. In the cool shade you can watch the St. John's
River and relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea.
The main house offers three suites, each with private bathroom and
sitting room, TV, VCR and wireless high-speed internet access. All our suites are comfortably furnished with antiques and
a view of the St Johns river or the pretty gardens.
In addition, The Carriage House is available for short, or long-term,
visits. With its own entrance, kitchenette (including fridge, coffee-maker, hotplate and toaster), bathroom, bedroom and sitting-room,
The Carriage House is the perfect 'home-from-home'.

Enjoy tea or a glass
of wine in our newly redecorated living room. Notice the antique tiles in the fire place and the beautiful lead glass windows.
I lovely place to meet your friends or talk with your hostest about Southern traditions.


Breakfast is served each morning in the formal dining room made beautiful by the view of the St. Johns River.
The sunrise is breath taking. Of special interest is the beautiful antique furniture.
